Today's victim of my random 20 Questions needs no introduction...Katie Bower is one of the Queen Bee's of home DIY. She and her husband bought a big ole foreclosed house, and are transforming everything from the Kitchen to the massive yard, with their own hands! Oh, and Katie has been pregnant pretty much the whole time. Okay, that's a tiny exaggeration, but she's currently days away from having her third boy in under 4 years...so yeah, that's a lot of pregnant time. I was thrilled to finally meet her last year at Haven, and the girl is as fun and funny in person as she is on her rockstar blog, Bower Power, and these answers!

What is your road trip essential snack?
Anything that Jeremy is eating. I am a really good eater...aka thief.

You've been handed two free round-trip tickets...who are you taking and where are you going?
My accountant! We are going to Yemen! Just kidding :) Jeremy to Rome or Italy. I like old stuff. And that's me talking about Rome...not Jeremy :)

What was your high school jam?
No Diggity. Killing me softly. Anything from N'Sync. Sir Mix A lot. Bon Jovi. My musical tastes are slightly bipolar.

Would you rather have a perfect bum, or a flawless face?
Flawless face. My bum is already perfect....for covering up :)

I think she's got the flawless face already working...I'm dying over her skin!
What shows are you ashamed to admit are on your DVR?
So Weston has this knack for recording shows for us just by pressing random buttons. We are currently recording Paid Programming, New Zumba Incredible Results, and pretty much every single soap opera on Univision...and no, Weston is not bilingual. I wish I were kidding.

What's your ringtone?
'Old Phone'. I tried to switch it to something cool...but then I would just end up dancing and missed the call. Then I tried birds....but then I just kept on looking for real birds in our house. Old phone is pretty lame but apparently I get confused easily.

How old were you when you had your first kiss? Was it meh or toe-curling?
16 and it was totally toe-curling. But I am telling my children that I was 27 and it was with my husband. YOU CAN'T PROVE ANYTHING.

Do you have any siblings, and if so, where are you in the birth order?
I do! I am number two of four!

What physical quirk were you born with?
I had a really big head. Like so so big. Later the doctors determined that I needed early intervention because I wasn't hitting verbal or physical milestones. So because I was incredibly lazy and very top heavy, I never learned to put my hands out if I am falling down. If you push me from behind, I will still hit the ground with my face to this day.

What was your first car, and did you name it?
My parents had a station wagon that we nicknamed 'the shaggin' wagon' when I was ten. Of course I had no idea what shaggin' meant at the time. Later that became my car.

What would you request for your last supper?
To live.

Have you ever been hospitalized, and if so, what for?
One time I had surgery on my ACL but didn't stay in the hospital overnight or anything. And then I have been hospitalized for baby-birthing. I actually never broken a bone or had stitches until I had kids.

How tall are you? Do you wish you were taller, shorter...or are you just right?
5 foot almost 7 inches. I would say just right because I can still wear heels and be slightly shorter than Jeremy.

Do you prefer to DIY or hire it out?
DIY!

Katie's new Kitchen....all DIY!
What do you eat for breakfast?
Whatever the boys don't finish on their plates. I'm usually trying to pack lunches or feed one of them during breakfast so I just take what I can get. Sometimes I try to throw an English muffin in the toaster and load it up with peanut butter if I know I'm gonna be really busy the rest of the morning.

What would you do for a living if you didn't need money?
I'd take photos of kids. Kids are amazing. I just love how uncomplicated they are and how easily they love.

Finish this sentence: Every room needs....
vaccuming!

How frequently do you wash your hair? Do you have any hair secrets or tricks?
Once every three to four days. I have a lot of hair and it doesn't get greasy fast. It often doesn't get conditioned either. Or fixed beyond getting tossed in a pony tail. My only hair secret would be learn to work with what you got. Go with the hair flow :)

Will you leave the house without makeup?
Every. day.

You just unloaded your Halloween haul...what candy do you go for first?
Well, first you must sort the candy according to type, flavor and size. And then you must start trading with the siblings (or in my case, my three year old son). Then I eat the Almond Joys, peanut M&M's, and KitKats.

What totally inane talent do you possess?
I can 'copy-talk'. Like if you are saying something, I can practically say the exact thing at the exact time. Ok ok...maybe one millisecond later. It's a gift from God. Especially when you have an older brother that it drives crazy!

* * * * *

Just the thought of copy-talking makes me laugh! That might very well be the best talent a person could have...I know I'd put it to good use! And that Kitchen is just the tip of her DIY iceberg, so run to Bower Power and check out her goods. And send her lots of love for the almost-arrival of her new son!
