{Outfit Inspiration} Black & Blue

Always match your shoes to your handbag. And of course your shoes must match your belt. Don't wear white past Labor Day, and definitely don't wear black with brown, or black with blue. These were 'the rules' I grew up with, but thankfully they don't apply anymore. These days, anything goes, and the more adventurous you are, the more fashionable you're considered to be.

The key to mixing black and blue, is to make sure they aren't too close in hue...like navy and black. That just looks like you got dressed in the dark. (Which funny enough, is what my mom thinks of most my outfits.)

 

Just as in home interiors, black tones down brights, and adds refinement and sophistication to an outfit. Unlike my overuse of root volumizer that results in news-anchor-lady hair! This is Cassie Sugarplum, eye witness news!

Little Miss grabbed my glasses and busted out a pose of her own this weekend...'Mommy, this is you on your blog.' How come it doesn't look awkward on a 6-year-old? Not only did she pair black and blue, but she threw brown in the mix, too!
