So when we visited Nashville a few weeks ago, we hit up all our old regular spots, but were also introduced to some amazing new places. If you're ever in the area, add these to your list!
More than just a burger joint in a trendy neighborhood.
They source as much of the menu as possible from local farms, that treat their animals well.
They say knowing where your food comes from makes it taste better.
They must be right.
The trendy interior is full of cool touches, like reclaimed wood that belonged to the owner's grandfather, and vintage bar towels used as napkins.
And kid's menus taped to the inside of Dr. Seuss books.
But the food is what won me over.
I dare say this was the best burger I've ever had.
The fact that it was covered with fried jalapenos and homemade pimento cheese probably had something to do with it.
Not to mention the truffle fries.
Mr. Sugarplum went the healthy route and had a Kale Citrus Salad.
He said it was amazing.
I took his word for it.
This is another wildly popular place that focuses on local food sources.
In another trendy part of town.
Be prepared to wait for a table. A long time.
But know it will be worth it.

The most amazing drinks like Pomegranate Pineapple Red Tea and Basil Lemonade served in mismatched mason jars.
Basically, this place is a blogger's dream.
I remembered to take a pic about 2 minutes after our food arrived.
By then it was too late because it was gone.
Babygirl loved the vintage marquee since it's her initials.

This little jewel isn't new, but it's a must when in town.
You'll come back everyday to figure out which is your favorite gourmet popsicle flavor.
They are made fresh daily, using fruits (and sometimes vegetables) from the local farmer's market.
Some are cream based, and others are purely fruit.
The chalkboard wall of flavors is always different.
Good luck choosing one.
Over the years, I think we've tried them all, and have yet to discover one we don't love.
My favorite this trip was strawberry-lime.
When my friend said we had to go to Jeni's, I was a bit skeptical.
After all, ice cream is ice cream. They are all good, right?
Wrong.
Of course this is a super cute place, in a super trendy area.
Nashville is just trendy. Without trying.
Every single flavor is unique and intriguing.
Good thing they encourage you to try them all before making your choice.
I couldn't choose just one (typical), so I had a double scoop.
